Simon Lennox
Over the past 20+ years, he has enjoyed a range of leadership experiences in local church life, business and finance, global non-profits, theological study, and public speaking. Simon is passionate about finding innovative and creative ways to help people across the world to read, study, and share the Bible.
He is a keen sports fan, fitness enthusiast, and loves coffee. Simon is married to Amy and they have two beautiful daughters.

Le Fras Strydom
He started sharing the Bible with colleagues while working as a Digital Product lead in London, and still enjoys nothing more than helping people see Jesus in His Word. Le Fras serves as an Elder in his local church in Kent, England. He is married to Suzanne and has three delightful children.
MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Based in East London, Lizzie is responsible for The Word One to One's Bible content and oversees our translation work.
She trained at the Cornhill Training Scheme, following a background in charity leadership in the UK and Brussels. She loves seeing people open the Bible for themselves and discover its life-changing impact.
Lizzie is married to Andy and they have three children.

Lizzie Jelfs
Based in North London, originally from Sydney Australia, Christine’s role is to encourage and support Christians and churches in Bible sharing. Christine previously worked alongside Rico Tice at All Souls Langham Place in central London as an Evangelism Worker.
Christine loves introducing people to Jesus in God’s Word. She is also passionate about equipping Christians to share the hope of Jesus with those God has placed in their lives, and believes anyone can be a Bible sharer.

Christine Armstrong
Born in the USA and raised in Scotland, Ally now lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with her family of four – her husband, Stuart, and their two wonderful children. She supports Simon, our CEO, and works across a variety of operational and financial areas within the organisation.
Ally is passionate about serving others and helping people encounter the love, welcome, and hope found in Christ. She and Stuart love opening their home, gathering people around their table, and creating space for friendship, community, and connection. Their door is always open!

John MacKinnon
DIRECTOR OF CHURCH ENGAGEMENTJohn is based in East Kilbride in Scotland. As an equipping evangelist, he has ministered on the streets, schools and universities, as well as leading the local church in revitalisation and church planting. He now directs the fieldwork of The Word One to One.
He is married to Linda and they have three adult children; he is also Papa to five grandchildren and a wonderful labrador called Clyde!
Allen McCluggage
FIELD MANAGER
Allen joined the team in April 2025 and is based in Belfast. He’s passionate about sharing the truth of God’s Word with others and in his role, he has the opportunity to encourage and equip believers and churches across Ireland to grow in confidence in Bible sharing.
Allen has previously worked as a primary school teacher and more recently, in ministry roles at Christians in Sport, and in a local church in East Belfast.
He is married to Jane, dad to Isla, Ruby and Maddie, and in his spare time enjoys a good cup of coffee, reading, and playing any and every sport!

Richard Borgonon
Founder and co-author of The Word One to One, Richard has been in the LLOYD’S insurance market since 1974 as an executive holding various market leadership positions and continues to run his own consultancy company.
Today, Richard spends much of his time sharing the Bible with senior executives as well as speaking internationally on evangelism in today’s world and in numerous evangelistic opportunities. His passion is that every Christian can discover God actively at work in their own circle of contacts, as they take the Word to those around them. God builds His church through His Word.
Richard has also been on Christian television teaching John’s Gospel by using The Word One to One, which has now been shown in 52 countries.
FOUNDER
Akeel Sachak
Akeel works as Global Head of Consumer for Rothschild & Co, having been with the company since 1985. He is an influential Gospel Patron and an experienced Board member overseeing a number of other Christian organisations.
Akeel’s main passion isn’t his job – it’s his Christian faith. Originally raised in a Muslim family, Akeel came to know Jesus at Oxford University after hearing an evangelist speak. Akeel met his wife Joy at a church and they are now parents to four adult children and enjoying a growing list of grandchildren.
Nancy Benham MBE
Originally from Malaysia, Nancy has spent most of her life living and working overseas – initially with her young family supporting her husband’s work and later as a diplomat in the Foreign Office. She has fundraised for Christian organisations in Bangladesh, India, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, supported national church groups as well as leading home groups.
On her return to the UK full time in 2018, Nancy worked with Mission Aviation Fellowship International as their Institutional Development Manager, managing EU and UK funded projects and helping national offices to seek government funding.
Recently retired, Nancy has moved to North Yorkshire to spend more time with her growing grandchildren, but is still active on the boards of The Rock Foundation, Cross Connections as well as The Word One to One.
Charles Kasenene
Charles is based in Luxembourg, originally from Uganda and Married to Wendy. Charles is the Head of Finance at an Investment Bank in Luxembourg.
He has been passionate about the ministry of The Word One to One since he first heard of it, maybe even before he heard of it. He became a Christian as a teenager as a friend shared God’s Word with him. The conviction God brought to bear through His Word has shaped Charles’ confidence in the centrality of sharing God’s Word as part of all Christian ministry.
